Bergamo Fiera was first born in 1984 at the behest of the Traders Association of Bergamo. A meeting place for trade that drew inspiration from what had always been vocation of the place, not only for commercial reasons but also of culture, leisure, religiosity.
Over the years Bergamo has become an important city as far as the rich Lombard economy is concerned; this is why, following the rhythm of social changes, Bergamo fiera has also become a place for exchanges and meetings for commercial purposes.
It was in 2003 that these new requirements resulted in the creation of the new Trade Fair Center in Bergamo known as Fiera Promoberg, which soon became one of the most important centers for the local economy. A really efficient structure that confirmed the Bergamo ancient commercial and conference traditions.

Birth of the Bergamo Fiera

Between 1972 and 2002 the Bergamo Fiera had found a natural location in the headquarter of the Celadina district, near the town of Seriate, on an area of 25 thousand square meters of which only 5 thousand are covered.
An area located outside the city that year after year will show to be not fit to host so many events; and this because of Bergamo increasing importance at the turn of the new century. From these renewed needs, the New Trade Fair Center of Bergamo was born in 2003, a much larger complex located in an area of approximately 173 thousand square meters with 800 parking spaces for visitors and 1,000 for exhibitors and professionals. The covered area has now reached over 40 thousand square meters.

Bergamo Fiera: where it is and how to get there

New Bergamo Fiera inaugurated on 25 October 2003 during the 25th edition of the Trade Fair, is a large center that can host even large and different types of exhibitions: cultural, sporting and artistic events.
New Bergamo Fiera also includes a congress center with rooms already equipped for a capacity ranging from 40 to 440 guests. Exhibition areas are extremely versatile and multi-functional, spread over 16 thousand covered square meters and 35 thousand uncovered. 
All this allows Fiera di Bergamo to host a lot of events and festivals, national events as well as international. Fiera Promoberg in Bergamo was born in a strategic point, close to the city and its main junctions (Orio al Serio international airport, A4 motorway). 
The modern structure of the Bergamo Fair is located in Via Lunga, an urban area of ​​Bergamo: the trade fair center is easily accessible by car, by coach, by train and by plane, thanks to the neighboring international airport “Il Caravaggio”.
